What a Night! Recap of Aug 22 at Upstairs Hampstead
We had a wonderful night on Thursday at Upstairs Hampstead! If you have never been to a mediumship demonstration, you might be surprised to find out that they can be a lot of fun.
I think we got off on the right start when I entered with the grace of a clanging gong as I emerged from the storage closet that held the AC. I was able to be out of sight out of mind but man was I sweating! I usually sit quietly reading my mantras and affirmations but on Thursday I folded my page up like a fan to try to cool myself so I didn’t sweat like a pig.
As silly as this was, it did set the tone that the evening wasn’t going to be too serious and it definitely wouldn’t be somber. This is sacred work, but after giving hundreds of readings, the consistent messages from our loved ones is that they are fine and they want us all to keep on living and laughing because “Life is too important to take seriously.” (Oscar Wilde)
Yes, there can be tears, but most are happy tears! It’s a powerful and meaningful experience to feel the connection with your loved ones that happens during a demonstration or a reading.
Every seat was filled with a courageous, open-hearted, open-minded attendees seeking connection. Yes, I’m still using Julia Cameron’s words, “This is not a safe space, this is a brave space,” because it resonates. Of course, my aim is to make sure everyone feels comfortable and safe, but stepping into the unknown, especially in a setting like this, does take a special kind of bravery.
The attendees willingness to explore the connections between our world and the other side created a powerful and uplifting atmosphere that I’m truly grateful for.
The feedback so far has been extremely positive. I’m moved by your messages and grateful for the opportunity to serve as an intermediary between you and your loved ones in an experience that brings so much comfort and clarity.
For those of you who have known me for a while, you probably recognize one of the phrases that play in my head, “If I’m going to do it, I’m going to overdue it.” True to my spirit, I booked a new, bigger, more central venue the morning of my demonstration.
